I am a development and humanitarian assistance expert with experience in Latin America, Africa and Asia and I have led projects and programs focused on poverty reduction and sustainable development in e.g. value chains, entrepreneurship and local governance processes, with specific focus on gender equality and environmental issues. I have ample experience in involving private-sector actors through linkages with their core business as well as through investments in community development.

In April 2018 I was appointed as CEO for CARE Nederland. Since April 2020 I am member of the Supervisory Board of FMO, the Dutch Development Bank.
