About me

I care about research and knowledge contributing to social and environmental justice. I wish to contribute to that by listening well, picking up on key questions and facilitating co-learning through engaging gatherings. I have led the Centre for Unusual Collaborations, a center of expertise for inter- and transdisciplinary collaborations, from its inception to a well-established and recognised space in academia. Before this, I worked for over a decade as policy adviser at WOTRO Science for Global Development, at the Dutch Science Council (NWO), where I coordinated research programs with focus areas on conflicts over natural resources and climate change, food and nutrition security, and more. I am a PhD candidate in the field of Political Ecology, looking at the militarisation of climate action, with a regional focus in the Eastern Himalayas. Whenever opportunity arises, I am outside, growing food and watching birds. In addition, I read, lots of reading, preferably the classic novels and sci-fi.
