About the event

How to get more power and funding in the hands of local responders? How to build more equitable relationships? International, national and local actors across the humanitarian sector are searching for answers to these and related questions. This meeting is a great opportunity to hear from local colleagues what steps they see necessary to further the localization agenda.

Speakers

  • Shahida Suleiman, Deputy Director Save Somali Women and Children (SSWC) and chair of the Local Advisory Group of the DRA (Dutch Relief Alliance).
  • James Keah Ninrew, Executive Director and founder of Universal Intervention and  Development Organization (UNIDOR) from South Sudan.

These statements will be followed by an open discussion with all participants facilitated (under Chatham House Rule) by Peter Heintze of KUNO.

After that there will be plenty of time for drinks, bites and networking.

This edition of the Humanitarian Cafe is brought to you by DRA and KUNO.
