HSC - The Humanitarian Initiative of South Asia (HOISA)

About the event

The International humanitarian system and the International human rights law is witnessing one of its most fragile periods. Amidst massive budget cuts across the humanitarian system, shutting down of funding and aid mechanisms for conflict torn regions and an unprecedented arms race – the humanitarian observatories will gather to reflect and rethink the very essence of humanitarian systems. Join this online webinar where rethink humanitarian systems – are we moving towards building new and more effective systems bottom up? Do the recent sea changes give us an opportunity to truly liberate the humanitarian system from top-down flow of money and power? How do we ensure seamless and self-organised systems by strengthening our humanitarian values?
