INSO currently operates in over 20 countries and provides daily support to over 1,400 International and National NGOs working in high-risk contexts.

INSO provides timely information to NGO partners through alerts and evidence-based analysis as well as providing training to both International and National NGOs on Security Risk Management, Crisis Management and Humanitarian Negotiations to support NGOs to better anticipate, understand and mitigate the risks they face in the delivery of aid. INSO also supports enhanced coordination between NGOs on security concerns, as well as with the UN to support the implementation of the Saving Lives Together (SLT) Framework at both the country and global level.

INSO also hosts the Conflict and Humanitarian Data Centre, a data-system of over 1.5 million conflict and security incidents across 22 countries.
